In 1988, I joined a Special Unit of the Carabinieri tasked with fighting criminal organizations, both ordinary and subversive.
At that time, I wanted to overcome my insecurities, especially in the event of possible armed confrontations, so I decided to take up Practical Shooting (as it was called back then), participating in competitions reserved for military personnel and members of law enforcement agencies, in order to acquire the complete mastery and skill in handling firearms that only this discipline teaches.
People already experienced in this sport had the willingness and patience to introduce me to its purely sporting side. Together with them, in 1997, I founded one of Italy’s most successful sports clubs: the Associazione Sportiva Tiro a Segno Uboldo, and subsequently the Grand Master Shooting Club.
In 1992, I competed in my first European Championship and, the following year, in my first World Championship, where I achieved an unexpected 9th place in the Standard Division.
Since then, I have competed in 7 European Championships, including one Shotgun Championship; 6 World Championships; 3 South American Championships; as well as hundreds of national and international competitions.
